DPP Info Session
Are you the one in three people suffering fromprediabetes?? Are you worried about it getting worse and being diagnosed withdiabetes. To help prevent that from happening, the NC Cooperative ExtensionOffice, Person County Center is excited to announce that we want to startanother Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) soon. We are having severalInformational Sessions throughout May and June at the Person County OfficeBuilding. If you are interested in possibly participating in the next DiabetesPrevention Program, you will want to join one of these meetings. Attending aninformation session does not commit you to anything. They will be held on theThursdays, May 14, 21 and June 4, 11, 18 from 12-1pm at the CooperativeExtension Office, located in Room 166 of the main county office building. TheDPP program is not for anyone who has already been diagnosed with type 1 ortype 2 diabetes. DPP focuses on anyone who might have pre- or borderlinediabetes or who may be determined to be at-risk for diabetes (we can give you asimple risk test). Please join us.
