Extension and Community Association (ECA)

The Extension Community Association (ECA) formerly known as the “Extension Homemakers Association”, is an adult volunteer organization closely affiliated with N.C. Cooperative Extension. By being an ECA member, you will also become part of a dynamic volunteer organization that promotes personal growth and development and seeks to enhance the quality of life for others in the local community.

Membership dues are $13.50 per year. New members are always welcome. Currently, there are four active ECA Clubs in Person County:

  • Annie Mae Tuck Club (Evelyn Clayton, President)
  • Bushy Fork Club (Joan Long, President)
  • Piedmont Club (Elaine Harris, President)
  • Reamstown Club (Naomi Johnson, President)

Programs, activities and community events of the local Extension & Community Association are governed by the Person County ECA County Council, which meets the first Tuesday of every other month at 10:00 a.m. at the Extension office. Officers include:
