Our Mission

North Carolina Cooperative Extension partners with communities to deliver education and technology that enrich the lives, land and economy of North Carolinians.

What is Cooperative Extension in North Carolina?

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension is a partnership involving the United States Department of Agriculture, state and county governments, and our two land grant universities: North Carolina State University in Raleigh and North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. Its mission is to help people improve their lives through an educational process that uses scientific knowledge based on issues and needs.
