2026 Summer Fun Events & Details
4-H Summer Fun in North Carolina is a series of county-based, hands-on educational programs by N.C. Cooperative Extension offering youth (ages 5-18) diverse summer activities like STEM, arts, cooking, animal science, outdoor adventures (kayaking, hiking), and life skills workshops, providing safe, affordable, and enriching experiences to build confidence and new skills outside of school.
Summer Fun Registration is in 4-H Online. 4-H Online Registration
- Create your family account using your family last name
- Enroll each child separately as a new member
- Use Person County Member at large for Club
- Select your Child's interested projects
- Fill in person information
- Click submit!
- Wait for manager enrollment approval and you are set to register under each child's event tab!
This Years Camps:
- Cloverbud Creators ages 5-8 as of January 1st. 2026. Topics for each day are: Beekeeping, Science, Art & Crafts. $20/ Child
- June 2 -4 from 9am - 1pm
- Earthy Explorations ages 9-18 as of January 1st. 2026. Learn all about soil types, identification, plants, natural cycles and pollinators. $30/Child
- June 9 - 11 from 9 am - 3 pm
- Safety Explorers ages 3rd through 5th grade. Local EMS teaches safety and first aid. We will build survival kits and play firefighter games. $100/Child
- June 15 - 17 from 9am - 5pm.
- Stem-tastic Adventures ages 9 -18 as of January 1st. 2026. Use robots, build machines, AI programs, learn all about physics. $30/Child
- June 29 - July 1 from 8 am - 4 pm
- Tie-dye Textiles ages 9 - 18 as of January 1st. 2026. Want to learn color theory, tie dye crafts and learn new at home crafts at Hawkins Loop. $30/Child
- July 14 - 17 from 9 am - 1 pm
- Betsy-Jeff Penn ages 8 - 17 as of January 1st. 2026. Canoeing, hiking, rock wall, swimming, archery, fishing and camping. $50/deposit call for full price.

- 4-H Congress ages 13- 18 as of January 1st. 2026. 5 days in Raleigh, meeting new friends, participating in leadership workshops, going to a formal dance, and helping local charities. $Call for price

- 4-H Investigates ages 10 -15 as of January 1st. 2026. Like to solve crimes? Help us find the clues. Learn with DNA samples, fingerprints, hair analysis, tour local courthouse, jail, and more. $30/Child
