Get ready for a summer of discovery! The 2026 Person County 4-H Summer Fun schedule is here, featuring everything from beekeeping and robotics to survival skills and soil science.
Whether your child is a "Cloverbud Creator" or a "Stem-tastic" enthusiast, there’s a program for every age group this June and July.
Summer Program Highlights:
- Cloverbud Creators (Ages 5-8): Discover beekeeping, science, and arts & crafts from June 2–4 ($20/child).
- Earthy Explorations (Ages 9-18): Dig into soil types, plants, and pollinators from June 9–11 ($30/child).
- Safety Explorers (3rd-5th Grade): Learn first aid with local EMS, build survival kits, and play firefighter games from June 15–18 ($100/child).
- Stem-tastic Adventures (Ages 9-18): Work with robots, AI programs, and physics from June 29–July 1 ($30/child).
- Betsy-Jeff Penn Camp (Ages 8-14): A classic overnight experience from July 5–10 featuring canoeing, rock climbing, archery, and more ($50 deposit).
- Tie-Dye Textiles (Ages 9-18): Master color theory and craft unique designs at Hawkins Loop from July 14–16($30/child).
- NC 4-H Congress (Ages 13-18): Head to Raleigh from July 20–24 for a week of leadership workshops, formal dances, and community service (Call for cost).
- 4-H Investigates (Ages 10-15): Solve crimes using DNA, fingerprints, and hair analysis from July 29–31, including tours of the local courthouse and jail ($30/child).
