The agent in this position will have educational responsibilities in all phases of field crop production. They must be able to conduct educational programs that focus on the profitability and sustainability of North Carolina field crops, utilizing best practices based on research to include the adoption of proven technology, business, and financial practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for applied research development in the program area. This position will function as county pesticide coordinator and be responsible for providing educational training opportunities for private, public, and commercial operators to obtain and maintain their licenses.
