Mark your calendars for BugFest 2026!
Get ready to hop into BugFest, the Museum’s largest and buggiest event! This year’s bug theme is hoppers — plant, leaf and tree.
Crawl, climb and creep your way through more than 100 exhibits, crafts, games and activities that celebrate the fascinating world of arthropods. Pick the brains of entomologists and other scientists about all things bugs. Satisfy your curiosity and your appetite with buggy culinary creations at Café Insecta. Our outdoor and indoor activities run all day.
NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers will be on-hand to talk about pollinators and let you know how to easily participate in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, a critical citizen science project that happens every August. Learn more about the many educational NC State Extension resources and programs available to you.
This event is FREE and for all ages!
