This spring, support Person County 4-H by participating in our blueberry plant sale! Sales open on Tuesday, February 20th and close on Friday, March 15th. Delivery is expected to be the last week of March. In addition to the sale, Person County Horticulture Agent, Johnny Coley, will be offering a free, optional blueberry workshop on Monday, March 18th at 6 p.m. in the Person County Office Building Auditorium (304 S. Morgan St., Roxboro, NC 27573). You do not need to purchase blueberry plants to attend the blueberry workshop, but please RSVP.

This year, we are offering 5 varieties of blueberry plants: Premier (early–mid-season), Columbus (early–mid-season), Tifblue (mid-season), Onslow (mid–late season), and Powderblue (late season). All varieties are rabbit-eye varieties that are ideal for growing in this region. A purchase of at least two plants is recommended for cross-pollination. Our best value is our “Variety Pack” for $60, which includes one plant of each variety.

Orders are not guaranteed until payment is received (cash/check ONLY). Please mail or deliver your payment and order forms to 304 S. Morgan St., Rooms 123 or 159, Roxboro, NC 27573. Order forms are also available in the Extension Office. Checks should be made payable to Person County 4-H. Receipts will be mailed to the return address listed on the envelope. You can find more information about the varieties on the Finch Nursery website. Questions should be directed to Lexi Swick (aswick@ncsu.edu; (336) 599-1195).
