The Wheat Whistle Stop Field Day is for wheat growers in Person, Granville, and surrounding counties.

Dr. Angela Post, NC State Small Grains Extension Specialist, will cover important management considerations that growers can take back to their farms and apply to improve their wheat crop. These topics will include disease identification and fungicide use, late season weed control, weed resistance management, and topdress fertility application timing and rates. However, this will be an informal event, where growers can ask questions about any small grain related topics or specific issues they may be seeing on their farms.

We will have breakfast and refreshments, and are offering 1 hour of N, O, D, and X pesticide recertification credits.
