4-H Youth Enrichment Services (Y.E.S.)

The program is designed to identify and hold youth responsible for inappropriate behaviors. It provides participants an opportunity to learn and practice acceptable behavior patterns through structured activities.

Target Population

Youth 6-17 years of age who are:

  • Adjudicated delinquent by Juvenile Court
  • Referred from Juvenile Services Intake Court Counselor
  • At-Risk of Court Involvement
  • Referred from Teen Court

Community Service and Restitution: this component is geared as a positive means to provide the youth with a clear understanding of the effects of their inappropriate behavior, conduct, and/or crime. It is a further step towards re-establishment of respect for authority and the, good self-discipline and the ability to recognize negative influence from peers. Youth must sacrifice personal free time to earn money to compensate victims for their losses. However, in the case of community service, personal time is sacrificed for no compensation gain.
