Virtual camp and grab-and-go kits are coming to Chatham County 4-H once again this summer! We’re excited to offer these fun educational learning opportunities from June through August, and thanks to the continued generous support of the United Way of Chatham County, these camp kits will be offered to community members at no cost. All youth between the ages of 5-18 (as of January 1, 2021) are invited to participate in these activities, regardless if they are currently enrolled in 4-H or not.

CHATHAM COUNTY 4-H CAMPS:  Preferred registration for all camps will occur by June 24. Registration will be open until two weeks before camp starts. Once registration has been completed, parents will be contacted and will receive more information about Zoom links and other materials.

NC 4-H CAMPS:  Pre-registration for all virtual camps is required and registration dates vary; please see details below for more information. You must be registered in 4-H Online 2.0 to participate in all activities.

Chatham County 4-H Camp Adventures Available:

Week of July 5

Food Around World: Food Around the World- International Cooking Demos- An at-home cooking camp for K-12 youth (with adult supervision) to learn about foods and cultures from around the world. Get your virtual passport ready to visit Greece, India, South America, Japan, and Italy from the comfort of your own kitchen! Geared for youth with intermediate experience in the kitchen. Be prepared to chop, boil, and bake. Adult supervision is required for all cloverbuds (5-7)!!!! Your camera must be on to verify that an adult is present. Participants found not following the requirements will be removed from the activity.

Week of August 1

Cloverbud Puppet Masters Class with Mrs. Kaley: This event is for youth 5-7 years old. Youth will need tape, glue, scissors, markers, crayons, pencils, and pens for this activity. All other materials will be provided to craft your own puppet. Please wear clothes you do not mind getting crafty in.

NC 4-H Summer Program Opportunities

Week of July 19

NC 4-H Congress: 4-H Congress is an annual educational event sponsored by North Carolina 4-H and planned by the State 4-H Council and Congress Advisory Committee. This event is designed for North Carolina 4-H’ers ages 13-18 and will be held virtually July 19-22, 2021.
