N.C. Cooperative Extension of Granville and Person Counties has planned a Fire Ant Webinar on April 6, 2021, at 7 p.m. Dr. Terri Billeisen, Extension Associate in Turfgrass Insect Management, will discuss fire ant general control methods. There was a lot of interest in this subject last fall, and as spring breaks we’ll probably see more of these ants. This will be via the Zoom platform. Registration for the webinar is through Eventbrite and can be accessed at Fire Ant Registration. Once you have registered, you will receive a link to the Zoom webinar a couple of days prior to the event. The Fire Ant Management webpage has several resources available to provide useful information about these insects.
