2020 Impact Report

Our Impact Report Infographic highlights our work in 2020. With the challenges of a pandemic, Steps to Health created virtual content for direct education in two programs, Color Me Healthy and Take Control. Extension Agents across the state provided video to create content for our program participants. Included in each module are cooking demonstrations to encourage participants to try a new recipe. These virtual programs will continue to be utilized in 2021 as meeting guidelines limit in-person delivery.

Another highlight for 2020 was the release of the consumer website featuring content for class participants, caregivers, teachers,  and community champions. We continue to add content to support behavioral changes to “Make the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice.”  Look for printables and physical activity guides for all ages to eat healthily and be active!

2020 also featured the release of ten educational video shorts starring Steph and Ned. Our friends guide us through Steps to Health that we can all make! These videos are available for use in waiting rooms, N.C. Cooperative Extension office kiosks, and social media.

Steps to Health empowers youth and adults to make healthy choices through nutrition education and supports partners to build healthy communities. We look forward to serving you in 2021.
