Angus bull in pasture ready to work.

North Carolina Cooperative Extension – Granville, Person, and Warren County Centers will be hosting a Bull Breeding Soundness Exam Clinic on October 28, 2020, at the Granville County Livestock Arena. The event flier has more details.

A breeding soundness is done to evaluate the bull’s reproductive potential. A bull that cannot perform his duties well, or at all, will greatly impact the next year’s calf crop which can decrease the operation’s profit potential.

The cost of the exam is $10 (checks should be made out to Granville County). This is an inexpensive investment for information that can have a big impact on your farm. Please call to make an appointment. Times begin at 9 a.m. and run till 2 p.m.
