The COVID-19 pandemic required us to look for alternative methods to present the research-based information you have come to expect from N.C. Cooperative Extension. That prompted our Backyard Ag 101 series. Due to the success of that, we are offering a Backyard Ag 101, phase 2 series, again looking at various topics related to small farm production. The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Granville, Person, Vance, and Warren County Centers are collaborating on this series, which is FREE and will be offered via the Zoom video conferencing platform. It will include topics such as: perennials and herbs, fruit tree and ornamental pruning, poultry, beekeeping, composting and vermicomposting, weed identification and management, and livestock health.

This is a seven-week “Zoom” series beginning Wednesday, July 1, and continuing every other Wednesday through September 23, 2020, from 10–11:30 a.m. Those session dates are July 1, July 15, July 29, August 12, August 26, September 9, and September 23. To see the full schedule with dates and time, and to register for this FREE series please visit BackyardAg101. (Please note that you will need to register through this site in order to receive a Zoom link, via email, to join this event.) We are excited to offer these programs and we look forward to your participation! Please note that space is limited. If you have questions, please contact us as indicated below.
