March is National Nutrition Month and one of the biggest causes of death is overweight and obesity. Most of the top 5 leading causes of death in the county can be aggravated by an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. Therefore, on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from noon–1 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Person County Center, we will be hosting a “Change Your Plate” Lunch N’ Learn workshop on MyPlate recommendations, changes you need to make, how to be more nutritious and how to get more color into your diet.
