Soybean Emergence Study

— Written By

The Person County 2017 Soybean Emergence Study show differences in yield from day one until day 4. Day 1 average was 71 bu per acre, Day 2 was 57.2 bu per acre, Day 3 was 54.2 bu per acre, Day 4 was 61.2 bu per acre. The reason day 4 was higher than day 2 and three is simple no competition so that plant branched more and produced more seed. What this does show in soybeans is quick uniform emergence is a must for higher yielding soybeans.
