Pesticide Collection Day Scheduled
Roxboro, N.C. – A Pesticide Collection Day will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The location will be the Hyco Warehouse located at 1965 Durham Road, Roxboro, NC. This as a rain or shine event.
Farmers and homeowners who have herbicides, insecticides, or fungicides that need to be disposed of are asked to bring those in their original containers and with legible labels to the Pesticide Disposal Day. There is no charge for disposal. Anyone with containers larger than five gallons should contact the NCDA&CS Pesticides Division to make arrangements for disposal.
This collection day is for pesticides only. Paint, solvents, petroleum products, or other non-pesticides will not be accepted.
This Pesticide Collection Day is sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Hyco Warehouse, and North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Person County Center.
