Fitness Frenzy

Join us for Person County's first ever Fitness Frenzy! Come learn about the many fitness facilities and programs in the county. Maybe there is a fitness class you would like to try, to see if it is right for you. There will be two chances for you to participate in a fitness class. Fitness classes will vary from low to high impact as well as from exercised you can do standing or seated. You will also have the chance to talk with representatives from different agencies and businesses during the fitness fair part of this event to learn about the facilities and programs they have to offer. It is FREE to attend but we do ask that you pre-register. Download and complete the registration brochure and return it with the signed waiver form.

June Lunch N'
Learn

The Lunch N' Learn in June is scheduled for Thursday, June 18th from noon - 1pm at the Person County Office Building. We will be having our "Summertime Picnic", discussing topics such as buy fresh, buy local; food safety; picnics and cookouts; food on the road; and grilling outdoors.  Registration for this event is $5 and must be prepaid by June 15.

Paper Clover Campaign
at Tractor Supply

The Spring Paper Clover Campaign at Tractor Supply will be held April 22 - May 3.  This campaign raises money for 4-H on the local, state, and national level, with 60% of the proceeds coming directly back to the county.  All you have to do is add $1 at check out and write your name on a clover.  These clovers will be posted in the windows of Tractor Supply so that everyone can see the wonderful support of 4-H!

May Lunch N'
Learn

Our next Lunch N' Learn will take place on Wednesday, May 27th from noon - 1pm at the Person County Office Building. During the month of May, we will focus on Breast Health so we have invited Sherry Wright, Registered Nurse from the Person County Health Department to come and speak about the fact that "Timing is Everything". She will be on hand to discuss breast cancer, screening, health risks, and much more.  Registration for this event is $5 and must be prepaid by May 22.
